Last Sunday marked thesuper - est of super moonswe’ll have for another 20 years . Luckily , many of you brought your cameras out to immortalize the moment .

I ’m on vacation in Salem , Massachusetts . By the time I could take picture Sunday night clouds had prompt in . So here is a picture from Saturday ’s not quite as super moon . The moon is blur by the crisscross on a church steeple . That made it appropriately creepy-crawly for Salem .

Super Bummer!
I was passing worked up to shoot the supermoon in Santa Barbara , and when I finally had the hazard to do it , the moon was not that super anymore . I miscalculated the metre it was supposed to show up at the horizon .
OK the pic is not in reality the super moonshine , but technically if you cerebrate about , it is the tops moonlight shine on the sea .

Crater Face
These were shot during the weekend here in Sligo , Ireland . Its a small town and I live out in the countryside where there is very minuscule swooning pollution .
I burgeon forth them with my trusty Nikon S9100 point and shoot . I have a tripod but one of the legs is broken so i have to go up a tree at the back of the house and judge to steady it on a offshoot lol
I got feed animated by midgets but I think it was worth it ! I call this pic ‘ crater face ’ as you could clearly see all the impingement site on the moons surface .

Taken a couple days before the full moon . I took a good number of the full Sun Myung Moon , but after compare the Moon side by side , the edge of the waxing Sun Myung Moon highlighted the craters very nicely and that made for a good nip .

I deal my picture with my Nikon D5100 using the 55 - 300 mm zoom at maximum zoom ( northward of the fiftieth parallel I wish my zoom was even better ) . I set out out on a power grid road with my tripod but after the first 80 or 90 mosquito bites and clear that I had nothing for profundity of field last home . Thankfully I realized I could use the tree outdoors for my blurry foreground , snap a few , and this was the one I liked best ( at 1/200 , f/10 , ISO 400 with flash to get down up the tree branches in the foreground ) I play with contrast and colour in photoshop , and voila . M - atomic number 8 - atomic number 8 - N.

Amish Moonrise
I took this shot while visit rural Lancaster County , Pennsylvania . catch the moon rising above this farm next to where we were stick around , so I snapped a few shot on Saturday a while before sunset . The photo was aim on my 7D , then cropped and composited to bring out the correct exposure / particular in Photoshop . I had to resolve between a few interesting shot I pack that night , but this one had the most croak for it .

Double Dip
I went to Sammy ’s photographic camera as soon as I got out of oeuvre Friday evening and bought the extender so that I can have 400 mm of awesomeness . I shot this as a double exposure in decree to get a good foreground and the bright moon in the ground . I merged the images in PS and worked some lighting in Lightroom .

I snap this photo of Super Moon on 2025-02-10 . I used my 114 mm Celestron Telescope with a 25 mm ocular and my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to capture this photo . Photo was clicked in Seattle around 11PM when it was benighted . Photo was clack with camera on the scope ocular .

Overexposed
I take a different take on taking image of the moon and espouse the overexposure . I figured there will be tons of picture with giant orange moons .
This characterization was taken with a Sony nex-7 18 mm 3.5 / farad with a shutter fastness of 180s and a polarizing filter . Adjusted the curves to get the semblance to really hail out , and reduce noise .

Supermoon Rise and Sailing Yacht on Horizon
The rain stopped just in time before the sunset and with so much moisture intoxicate up in the air above the Laurus nobilis , the Supermoon rise on the skyline as purple colouration right after the sunset ! !
As the Supermoon ascension to a high position , it gradually change from purple to orange color and finally to the steady ( white-hot ) color .
