Sure , CGI is responsible for making us all visually misanthropic . But it ’s also enable project like this one : a weird — and weirdly poetic — ode to the Pontiac by digital artistChris LaBrooy .
According to U.K.-based LaBrooy , the project was a speculation on a walk through Brooklyn in the belated afternoon — though to me , the slant of the light and the flavor of the machine looks more like Michigan . Either agency , these are only contrived view ; both the wildly misrepresented and lace elevator car torso and the housing evolution in the scope are made of nothing but 1s and 0s .
Is the serial designed to dish as a latent analogy or some complex metaphor for the protracted death of the auto industry ? Nah . This is fun for sport ’s rice beer , right down to the title — Auto Aerobics – and LaBrooy ’s description of the project : “ And roll….and stretch….and glide … .. and flex . ” [ Chris LaBrooy;Ignant ]
