Channing Tatumis “excited” about his recent engagement toZoë Kravitz, a source tells PEOPLE.
“It took him a while to feel happy and to find a new life,” the source says of the actor whofinalizedhis divorce from Jenna Dewan in 2019. “He can’t stop smiling around [Kravitz]. They are very cute together.”
Multiple sources told PEOPLE exclusively Tuesday thatTatum, 43, and Kravitz, 34, were recently engagedafter more than two years of dating. Kravitz seemingly showed off her engagement ring when she and theMagic Mikestar werephotographed leaving a Halloween partylast Saturday.

Kravitz and Tatum first met when Kravitz cast Tatum for a role in her upcoming directorial debutPussy Island.
“He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do,” KravitztoldGQof her bond with Tatum in November 2022. “We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.”

“Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever — hereally was my protectorand it was really wonderful and sweet,” she shared of their relationship at the time. “I think if you can do something like that together, it’s a good test. And we came out even stronger.”

The couple were spotted in public together for the first time on Aug. 19, 2021, when Kravitz wasseen wrapping her arms around Tatum’s shoulderswhile he peddled her around New York City on a BMX bike. In September of that year,sources told PEOPLEthe pair “continue to be inseparable” during their time in N.Y.C. and that they were dating. Among a number of outings over the last two years, the pair were guests atMargaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff’s weddingin New Jersey this past August.
“Channing is serious about Zoë. It’s not a casual relationship,” a source told PEOPLE around the time thatTatum and Kravitz celebrated their one-year anniversarytogether. “They have been exclusive for a long time.”
Kravitz was previously married to actor Karl Glusman, and Tatum shares daughterEverly, 10, with ex-wife Jenna Dewan.
