In July , Disney fire James Gunn , after conservative activists resurfaced Gunn ’s history of controversial Tweets . Since then , the Guardians of the Galaxy series that Gunn wrote and directed has been increasingly in flux , with at odds report on whether or not the film would useGunn ’s script , and now , reportedly , it beingput on holdaltogether .
Throughout all of this , actor Dave Bautista ( Drax ) has been staunch in his living of Gunn , take on to societal media and mechanical press opportunities to mark Disney ’s actions and come out in favour of Gunn . Previously , hethreatened not to do the movieif Disney did n’t use Gunn ’s script . Now , it seems he ’s not certain he wants to do it at all .
In a recent audience onThe Jonathan Ross Show , Bautista confirms that the picture is on handgrip and further explain his ambivalent positioning on topic :
There ’s a second of an issue . It ’s a semisweet conversation . No – it ’s a bitter , acrimonious conversation , because I ’m not really happy with what they ’ve done with James Gunn . They ’re put the movie off . It ’s on hold indefinitely . To be honest with you , I do n’t bang if I require to make for Disney … I ’ve been very vocal about the way I experience . I ’m not afraid to admit the way I feel .
Whether or not Disney was justified in firing Gunn — which is a treatment we do n’t have the space for here — this is a right pickle now . Guardians was Marvel Studios ’ lowly flagship franchise , and now its entire future , along with the support of many of the MCU ’s most pop stars , is in endangerment .
However the MCU looks in the futurity , it ’s in all probability hold up to be a good deal dissimilar than we anticipate just a couple of month ago .
