The new Internet.org platform will let any developer make services to be delivered through Facebook ’s innocent but stripped - down version of the internet . In other words , the internet entree Facebook is bringing to developing parts of the cosmos will no longer consist solely of table service cherrypicked for inclusion by some overpaid Facebook employees .
Of course , there ’s no such thing as a costless lunch . Thereare still some glaring issues with Internet.org , some of which were exposed in the fine print of the young program ’s guidelines .
Anyone can build an app for Internet.org , but they must be approved by Facebook before citizenry can apply them . This is all ironic , because Mark Zuckerberg and friends are attempt to do a nice affair . They ’re also seek to save face a little , too . The push for a more see-through Internet.org number just days afterFacebook and Zuckerberg himself come under firefor trampling all over net disinterest principles with Internet.org ’s want of openness . And while this novel platform seems like an seeming effort to shine out that controversy , it almost nominate it bad .
