After two resoundingly mediocre sequence peppered with fun monsters and a Pilates Wolfman , this weekend ’s Grimm took a nose dive for the not - so - goodness . This hebdomad ’s instalment was title “ BeeWare . ” The braggart monsters in this episode ? Bee People . Their preferred elbow room to dispatch their victims ? Death by flash mob .
So Grimm come out out on some form of public transit organization where a clump of common people warily gaze at one another , directly cook the interview assume there ’s some sort of nefarious terrorist plot of land afoot . But no , it ’s much worse . One dude pop out a giant gold rush box and the whole train start dancing to “ YMCA . ” Ha ha ha , so comical , timely and apt , ripe ? completely right .
But expect ! The flashbulb rout is actually a deflexion for a Bee People to assail their prey ! In the thick of the epic “ YMCA ” dancing party , a char is stabbed by a bee person and dies . It ’s explicate in some clunkiest dialogue I ’ve ever watched . bury the productive joke , that sports fans banter is just stinking . And this was only the root ! Later on , Nick and his partner ( a.k.a . He - Who - Should - Be - Killed - Off - Now ) ask Sgt . Wu if he can bug a text substance from a defendant ’s headphone . Wu responds , “ Of course I can , I ’m Asiatic ! ” Yipes .
Oh right , the Bee People . So anyways it turns out the Bee People were n’t killing off “ forged ” humans but Hexenbiests , a.k.a . the blonde daughter who tried to kill Nick ’s Aunt and stab him with the poisonous substance . Thus Nick is forced to protect the woman who tried to murder him and does n’t order anyone she tried to kill him ! Is n’t Nick a well - honour tec ? Would n’t masses take his word that this was the woman who TRIED TO toss off HIM ? There is definitely a videotape that can corroborate at least part of his news report . I know you ca n’t see her expression but the fuzz , height , legs , mayhap even the shoes could back him up a little possibly . I do n’t know . rather they had a baronial stand down and Nick make unnecessary her life at the hands of the Queen Bee who say she was killing these thing to protect Nick the Grimm .
While the Bee People were cool enough look and clear pull from the lesser - roll in the hay Grimm story Queen Bee , I did n’t feel like we got to hump them at all . I wanted to see more of their awful hive and how they communicated . Instead we got a guy on his cell phone that was handily covered in a black and yellow case . The Queen Bee was pretty awesome - search too — they should have given her more than one sequence .
Overall , this episode just felt strained . It feel like someone had create a cool monstrosity but did n’t know how to fit out them into the game . The stand down between the blond Hexenbiest and Nick proved pretty intense , and I still think the actor playing Nick do it how to bring it when he needs to . Perhaps his benignity to this Hexenbiest tool will sway whatever peril is coming his way ?
Pilates Wolf show his brass for a bit to tell some funny jokes , but we did n’t have well-nigh enough time with him . gratefully , the next episode expect to have a firm serving of Pilates Wolf . Fingers crossed Nick gets quetch off the violence and squad up with Pilates Wolf for a rollicking on - the - road serial . I ’d watch it .
