Don’t worryBradley Cooper, you weren’t the first person to get nervous about performing at Oscars ceremony.

Gwyneth Paltrowrecalled taking the stage at the 2011 Academy Awards to perform “Coming Home” from her filmCountry Strong, admitting that like Cooper, she was a ball of nerves.

“Oh my God, it was the most terrifying moment of my life,” she toldVariety. “I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t feel my hands.”

Although she had already performed at the Country Music Awards and the Grammys, she said the pressure didn’t compare to that ofthe Oscars.

Paltrow said she was “hyperventilating” before taking the stage.

“Butthe Oscarswas way worse. I have never felt like that in my entire life,“ she added. “I was like, ‘I’m not going to be able to walk.’ I was hyperventilating and I thought I can’t walk to my mark. That’s how much my body was giving up.”

Luckily for both Paltrow and Cooper, their performances went off without a hitch.

Cooper took the stage withLady Gagaon Sunday toperform “Shallow”from their hit filmA Star Is Born(which clinched theBest Original Song Oscar for Gaga) and their chemistry was palpable.

”’One of the hardest things in life is to be brave enough to be yourself. I wish to everyone that is going to that celebration to feel a joy inside of them,’” Gaga, 32, recounted in the press room after the show.

“That’s actually what Bradley said to me yesterday, right before we did our last rehearsal for this performance of ‘Shallow,’ ” she continued. “He said, ‘Let’sjust drop a little bit of joy.’ And I said, ‘Okay.’ And turns out, joy did a whole lot for me.”

After nailing the rendition of the song, Gaga and Cooper made their way backstage, where they hugged tightly as they were met with a swarm of claps from well-wishing production staff.

While taking in the congratulations and asking, “Did I nail it?” the “Bad Romance” hitmaker looked at Cooper, 44, and said, “I’mso f—ing proud of you!”
