Not even a little rain could stop the romance last month at the wedding of NFL player William Holden and Casey Musicant.
The coupletied the knotatGraystone Quarry near Nashville, Tennessee,on March 9 — and PEOPLE has an exclusive look inside their nuptials.
Holden — who is a 25-year-old offensive tackle for the Arizona Cardinals — first met his bride back in 2012, when he was tasked as a member of theVanderbilt Universityfootball team with helping Musicant move into her freshman dorm.
In September 2017, Holden proposed on the Cardinals’ field after facing off against the Dallas Cowboys in Monday Night Football.
“If you look at us, you’ll think that we are complete opposites,” Musicant tells PEOPLE. “You’ll see that Will is 6’7″ and I’m 5’2″. If you talk to us for a few minutes, your thinking would only be confirmed. You’ll learn that Will grew up in the rural south and that I grew up in a big city. And you wouldn’t be surprised to find out that when we had to take a personality test in college, we got exact opposite results.”
She continues, “But if you really get to know us, you’ll understand that our differences don’t separate us; instead, they make us complete.”

“We wrote our wedding vows individually, and yet, as we read them to each other in front of our family and friends, they couldn’t have been more perfectly aligned,” Musicant tells PEOPLE about the big day. “In the chapel that rainy day in March, we all came to the same realization as Will and I read our secret vows. The common word, unbeknownst to both of us, was our promise to be a team.”
She continues, “Despite our very noticable differences, we promised to always appreciate the fact that my weaknesses are his strengths, that my strengths are his weaknesses and that together, we make one complete team.”
