On Saturday, the 27-year-old daughter of billionaireBill GatesandMelinda French Gatesshared an adorable photo of herself showing her 1-year-old daughter a look at a riding area at an equestrian event.
In the candid photo posted on herInstagram Story, Leila could be seen taking a peek at the horses in the pen and their riders as she was being held up. The little girl, who wore a pink flower in her hair and a green sundress, appeared to look away from the horses for a brief moment at the camera.
“Leila checking out the itty bitty jumper division today,” Jennifer wrote over the photo.

In a second post, Jennifer showed a video of her own equestrian run at the event. In the clip, she and her horse could be seen hitting one of the rails on the obstacle course, which prompted her to note it was “not our day, but that’s okay.”
“Horses are just one part of our life, but we love the sport,” she told CNN’sEQequestrian show in 2019. “[Nassar]’s a professional, and I do this as an amateur. So to be able to share our love and passion for horses with each other is just incredible.”

Gates and Nassar celebrated their daughter’s first birthday in February with a sentimental joint post onInstagramreflecting on Leila’s growth over the past year, alongside photos of her hanging out at home with their dogs and playing with some toys.
“Can’t believe this girl made us parents one year ago today. Leila, you’ve brought indescribable joy to this world with your endless laughter, curiosity and love for all things animal🐴🐶!” Jennifer wrote in the caption.
“Happy birthday sweet girl, we love you unconditionally forever, and can’t wait to see what the next year will bring! 💗🥹✨♾️,” she added.
