Responding to a message in which his then-girlfriendGrace Jabbarisays she can’t sleep due to the head pain, Majors texted back in part: “last night I considered killing myself.”
He allegedly followed up with another message: “I’m a monster. A horrible man. Not capable of love. I am killing myself soon. I’ve already put things in motion.”

Majors is facingchargesof assault in the third degree with intent to cause physical injury, assault in the third degree recklessly causing physical injury, aggravated harassment in the second degree, and harassment in the second degree, in connection with analleged fightbetween him and Jabbari in New York City back in March.
The actor, who has maintained his innocence from the beginning, faces up to a year behind barsif convicted.
On Wednesday morning, Manhattan prosecutors rested their case and the actor’s defense team brought in their own set of counter-witnesses, including an NYPD detective who arrested Jabbari in acounter-complaintin October.
On the stand,Detective Ronnie Mejiasaid three months after the alleged incident, he had taken Majors’ counter-statement over a FaceTime call at his precinct because the actor was out of state at the time, allowing Majors’ defense lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, to write out the domestic incident report on his behalf (which is against NYPD protocol) because: “It was brought to my attention that this was an important case.”
Prosecutors havedeclined to prosecuteJabbari, and information regarding that arrest was precluded from trial, with the judge calling the particulars of the cross-filing “very unusual.”
Over four days of testimony last week, Jabbari told the jury that her boyfriend of more than a year and a half had often slipped into easy “rage and aggression,” during their relationship, and that on March 25 they had gotten intoa physical altercation, leading to his arrest.
Describing that night, Jabbari said after an evening out the couple wasinside a hired car, heading back to the penthouse they shared, when she claims she saw a text message from another woman on Majors’ phone.
She said she snatched the phone from his hands, and that in response Majors allegedly twisted her right arm, and as she curled her body “just trying to protect myself,” she claimed she felt “a really hard blow against my head" that “took me aback.”
The following day, Jabbari went to the hospital and was treated for a hairline fracture to a bone in her middle finger and a cut to her ear.
The defense’s lengthycross-examination of Jabbari, which the judge saidlacked specificity, opened the door to prosecutors sharing text messages regarding an earlier alleged incident unrelated to the charges and previously deemed inadmissible at trial.

In those September 2022 texts, Majors appeared to admit tophysically attacking Jabbariduring a previous altercation.
“I fear you have no perspective of what could happen if you go to the hospital,” Majors allegedly told Jabbari in that set of text messages. “They will ask you questions and as I don’t think you actually protect us it could lead to an investigation even if you do lie and they suspect something.”
In that same message, Majors also stated “it’s just fake" — but based on the texts put into evidence, it was not clear what he was calling “fake” and no context was provided in court.
In that filing, prosecutors also mentioned “medical records from London related to an incident that occurred in September 2022.”
