Leighton Meesteris offering a rare update on her two kids.
TheGossip Girlalum, 38, spoke withVoguein a new video and opened up about her two kids, 9-year-old daughter Arlo and a 4-year-old son, whose name has not yet been revealed, whom she shares with husbandAdam Brody, 45.
“My kids, they get what we do,” Leighton says in the clip. “They come on location a lot.”
While Meester and Brody’s kids sometimes come with their parents to work, the mom of two adds that they make sure they have family time as well.
“I don’t think they’re fazed at all,” she continues. “They get a lot of us off set and a lot of us not working, which has been always a really big benefit for both of us.”

In September, Brody was a guest onToday with Hoda and Jennaand shared that he and Meester have anopen and honest relationshipwhen it comes to their two kids.
Asked if he’s a super strict, “helicopter” dad or the head of a “free-range” household, Brody shared, “Of course, I’m going to feel like it’s the perfect balance of all of it.”
He continued, “But yeah, I don’t know. [We’re] very honest. We have some very truthful conversations, for better or worse. But other than that, I wouldn’t say overly strict.”
“There is a helicopter, you know, to keep them safe,” he continued. “I’m not overly strict but I see the sharp edges, literally. And their heads aren’t gonna… I want to keep those heads maintained.”

“It’s inevitable that it’s changed it, and we’ve had these conversations endlessly,” Meester told her husband. “I wouldn’t change anything and I’m proud of the mom I am.”
“But I also feel like I’m open to a lot of self-doubt and worry, and to more extreme hyper-vigilance and neurosis. So all I can do is take it a day at a time. But when I’m with the kids, our kids, I feel like all I can do is be present. Then when I’m working, I miss them like crazy.”
Meester continued, revealing that her “sweet, canned answer” varied.
“It gave me a lot of compassion, and this whole other level of appreciation for other people and a sensitivity that I don’t think I ever had before. Particularly, when it comes to children. It’s not like a regular job. You work for 3 months, nonstop, day and night, and then not at all for the rest of time. It’s preferable,” she added, laughing.
