It doesn’t matter what’s on the menu:Savannah Feenstra’s 22-month-old son, Bronx, is almost always adding ranch to it.
So, when the 34-year-old mom, who lives with her husband and three boys in rural South Dakota, took her kids grocery shopping recently and told them they could each pick out a small treat for coming along, she wasn’t shocked when, after briefly turning her back to Bronx, she looked over to find what her youngest had put in his cart.
“When I turned around, his cart was already full of Hidden Valley Ranch, so I pulled my phone out just to capture his cuteness,” she tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“This was the moment I knew he had a serious love for ranch,” she adds. “You can see his eyes light up as he tries to get a bottle of it open in the grocery store! I just thought it was adorable and funny. He is always such a character, but he has such a sweet side to him, too.”
Feenstra says that after discovering the cart filled with ranch, she ended up putting 10 of the bottles back on the shelf so other shoppers could access them for Super Bowl Sunday. The rest of the bottles, which were on sale, she ended up buying.
“After all, he spotted a good deal!” she jokes.
“Smart kid,” Hidden Valley Ranch commented on the video.
“My man knows what’s up! Hidden Valley at that,” another user replied.
Someone else said, “Little guy has impeccable taste.”

After the family got home and settled, Feenstra says she noticed Bronx go straight to the fridge, which he recently learned to open. From there, he grabbed the ranch and took a drink.
“This was not a normal thing, and considering his cart was just full of ranch, I snapped a quick video before confiscating his drink choice,” she says, noting how she also posted this video toTikTok, where it too went viral.
“I had no idea it was going to go as crazy as it did,” she says. “I was in shock for days as the TikTok notifications continued to roll in. My husband and I were both very surprised at how many people love Bronx’s video and his love for Hidden Valley Ranch!”
She adds, “Hidden Valley Ranch reached out and wanted to send Bronx a gift! It has yet to arrive but we are all anxious to see what Bronx gets.”
