Nicole Richieloves being a mom to two teenagers.
On Monday, April 8, the actress, 42, appeared onTodayand chatted with hostHoda Kotb, 59, about her relationship with her two kids, daughter Harlow, 16, and son Sparrow, 14, whom she shares with husbandJoel Madden.
“They did. They came to the premiere. They were so…,” Richie trailed off as Kotb showed a picture of Richie’s family at the premiere.

“Everyone came, the whole fam came. It was very sweet,” Richie says.
“And what did they think? What do they think when they see you in roles like this?” asks Kotb.
“They are teens so they’re pretty chill about it. But they were happy to be there and they did tell me I did a good job. So I was like, ‘I will take that, thank you very much,' " Richie jokes.
Kotb went on to ask Richie what it’s like to parent teenagers, to which Richie said it’s crazy but currently her “favorite stage.”
“I just so clearly remember being 16, that it’s actually surprising how quickly I can go back there,” Richie shared. “When my daughter’s telling me drama with her friends, I go, ‘I remember. Laila Heckmath did that to me,’ I remember first and last names, so it’s fun. It’s wild. And just the best.”

Harlow sported long straight blonde hair, a matching smokey eye and an all-black ensemble. She rocked a black bandeau top and leather-look pants, while Richie wore a velvet mini halter dress featuring a gold chain collar.
Sparrow, meanwhile, showed a likeness to his rockstar dad while wearing an oversized T-shirt and jeans, similar to Madden’s baggy look at the event.
