Former Alaska Gov.Sarah Palinwasn’t impressed with who the Democrats chose to rebut the upcoming State of the Union address — and social media users weren’t impressed with how Palin chose to express that disapproval.

On Tuesday former candidate for Georgia governorStacey Abrams, a 45-year-old breakout star in the Democratic party last year, acceptedSenate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer‘s invitation to respond toPresident Donald Trump‘s speech annual address, for Tuesday.

After the news broke, Palin tweeted, “Chuck Schumer Wants A LITERAL LOSER To Deliver The Democratic SOTU Response” along with a link to a website called Chicks on the Right.

The headline of the story that Palin, 54, shared was the exact same as the tweet, but that didn’t stop Twitter users from reminding the former mayor and Miss Alaska — often sharply — that she was also on a prominent losing ticket.

Hers, from 2008, included herself as vice president and the late Sen.John McCainas president. (In the summer of 2009, months after their defeat, Palin resigned her governorship more than a year early.)

One userrespondedto her Tuesday tweet, which has since been deleted, “I must have missed when you were sworn in as Vice President, literal loser.”

Anotherwrote: “Thank you madame vice presi… oh yeah. Never mind.”

“Hey man, I forget, what are you most famous for again,”added a third.
